Icebreaker: Mentoring Day 2024

Published at August 9, 2024

News

Mentoring Day, organised by the Mentoring Cell, GAC-IQAC was held at Mualpui Campus on August 9, 2024. This event, observed for the second consecutive year, has proven to be a valuable initiative resulting in the strengthening of the mentor-mentee relationship within the institution. Each mentor-teacher engaged in one-on-one meetings with their mentees in designated rooms. The personalised interactions created a conducive environment for mentees to share their concerns, experiences and problems.

Throughout the day, mentors maintained detailed mentoring logbooks where matters discussed in each session and the advice or action steps suggested are documented. This practice helps in keeping records and tracking the progress of each mentee. The mentoring system is one of the college’s best practices and these mentoring sessions have proven to be very effective. Through these interactions, mentors are able to address individual challenges faced by mentees and offer guidance for an overall development.
