GAC Red Ribbon Club Wins Third Prize at MSACS Dry Condom Design Competition

In observance of International Condom Day 2026, a Dry Condom Design Competition was organised by the Mizoram State AIDS Control Society (MSACS) February 13, 2026 at Dawrpui Multipurpose Centre. The programme was graced by the Chief Guest, Hon’ble Health Minister, Smt. Lalrinpuii, Health & Family Welfare Department, under the chairmanship of Ms. Zuiliani Hrahsel, JD (IEC), MSACS.

The Red Ribbon Club, GAC won the third prize at the Dry Condom Design Competition, a fashion show to spread awareness on HIV and syphilis prevention through the use of dry condoms. Despite very limited preparation time, GAC students - Abisak Lalrinawmi, Baby Remruatsangi, C. Lalhriatchhungi, Lalremruati and R. Lalremruati- delivered an impressive creation- a dress made from dry condoms, with Baby (Miss GAC 2024-25) walking the ramp on behalf of her friends. Sixth semester students from Sociology Department attended the programme.

The event also featured a short address by Prince Manvendra Singh Gohil, Brand Ambassador of AHF India Cares and culminated with musical performances by various artists.
