Department Activity

The Department of Political Science visited the College's adopted village, Hmuifang Village, on October 23, 2024. During the visit, students carried out a local survey about the Public Distribution System (PDS) using questionnaires, gaining practical understanding and valuable academic insights.

The Customs Aizawl Division, Government of India, sponsored a cleanliness drive, where students collected waste from residential streets, public spaces, and common public areas. The cleanliness drive successfully reduced waste, improved sanitation and hygiene and promoted community engagement, instilling a sense of ownership and responsibility among the students. During the visit, students also stopped by the College's plantation site.

Sixty four students from V semester and six faculties participated in this programme. The programme gave students and faculty a memorable experience, building connections with the community and each other. It provided students with valuable insights into social responsibility, academics and environmental awareness.
